Lord, how did you stay so calm, kind, and loving? How could you be so perfect in a crazy and imperfect world?
How could you forgive those who hurt you? How could you resist the devil when temptation was all around you?
Why did you choose imperfect people?
Jacob was a cheater
Peter had a bad temper
Paul was a murderer
Gideon was insecure
Miriam was a gossiper
Martha was a worrier
Thomas was a doubter
Sara was impatient
Elijah was moody
Abraham was old
I have been cheated, I have been around people with tempers and have almost killed me, I am insecure, I have been a gossiper, I am a worrier and a doubter, at times I am impatient and moody and now I am older.
I start out ok, but as the day goes on or even starts I find myself following the crowd, being critical of others and things happening around me. Why do I do that?
Why do bad things happen to good people? Why do children, and young people die? Why is there so much hatred?
Lord, please help me to make the right choices and replace the criticism with kindness. To change the chaos to calmness, to change the negativity to goodness.
Help me to be all that you want me to be, kind, caring, forgiving, patient, grateful, humble.
Help me to have simplicity in my life. To be grateful for what I have. To use the gifts you have blessed me with. To show kindness to everyone I meet, and to Find Good In Everything, Everyday, In Everyone, In Every Situation.
Thank you, Lord,
Amen.
